Update on Covid-19 measures and your arrival in France

In the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, BSB is mobilised for the good of its community and permanently adapts its organisation to the situation.

The resumption of classroom teaching in the educational establishments is part of a legal framework that is binding for all. These measures are evolving and BSB strictly complies with the different measures imposed by the Government and their periodical updates.

To ensure a stafe study and work environment for our students and staff, BSB is applying all necessary measures and regulations. We would like to invite our international students to take note of the following information:

Health Pass

The French Government has introduced a Health Pass since this summer, requiring people wishing to access so-called “sensitive” areas to present :

  • either their vaccination certificate,
  • or a negative RT-PCR and antigenic test less than 24 hours old,
  • or the result of a positive RT-PCR or antigenic test attesting to the recovery of the Covid-19, dated at least 11 days and less than 6 months ago


Passes can be digital (on the TousAntiCovid app) or in paper form (proof of vaccination or test result). They include a QR code that will be scanned on entry into the venue or event.

The French health pass is interoperable with the EU Digital COVID Certificate scheme for travel within the European Union, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican.

Approved vaccines for entering France

Approved vaccines for entering France are those recognised by the European Medicines Agency (Comirnaty/Pfizer, Moderna, Vaxveria/AstraZeneca, and Janssen) and foreign vaccines similar to those authorized in Europe (Covishield etc.)
If you are unable to be vaccinated before coming to France, you will be offered an opportunity to get vaccinated as soon as possible after your arrival, in conjunction with Social Security and your host institution, especially if you come from a country in the red zone.

Quarantine

If you are required to isolate after arriving:
– Stay home as much as possible.
– Avoid contact with others.
– Wear a mask if you’re living with others.
– Monitor your temperature.
– Report any symptoms to a doctor immediatly.
– Notify your host in advance so that they can take appropriate measures (disinfecting, etc)

For unvaccinated individuals from “red” countries, this quarantine is mandatory and monitored by the health authorities.

WHEN WILL YOU NEED THE HEALTH PASS

ON CAMPUS

A health pass is required for all participants at the entrance to our campuses in the following situations:

  • cultural and sporting events attended by external spectators or participants
  • sports and cultural activities which are not related to a course of study
  • BSB events, symposiums or scientific seminars attended by an external audience
OFF CAMPUS

BSB activities that take place outside our campuses are subject to the protocol of the host institutions. A health pass may therefore be required to participate.

To ensure your safety on our campuses, BSB has set up a health protocol:

  • providing you with hydro-alcoholic gel
  • disinfection (door handles, surfaces, sanitary facilities, etc.) and daily ventilation of our premises
  • setting up a traffic direction

COVID-19 FAQ

Q. Do I need a Health Pass to access the BSB campuses and to attend the courses ?
R. No. Access to our campuses and to the courses held on our campuses are not subject to the presentation of a Health Pass.

Q. I have symptoms. What should I do?
R. If you have symptoms, you should stay home, get tested ASAP and isolate until you receive your results.
You must inform BSB’s school services of your absence.

Q. My COVID-19 test came back positive. What should I do?
R. If your test result is positive, you must isolate yourself and follow your courses in distance learning. You should of course inform your school of your situation. The duration of the isolation prescribed by the health authorities will depend on your vaccination schedule.

  • With a complete vaccination scheme: the duration of isolation is limited to 5 days if the antigenic or PCR test carried out on the 5th day is negative, and if you have not had any symptoms during the last 48 hours; otherwise the duration of isolation will be 7 days.
  • With an incomplete vaccination schedule, or in the absence of vaccination: the isolation period is 7 days if the antigenic or PCR test performed on day 5 is negative, and if you have not had any symptoms during the last 48 hours; otherwise the isolation period is 10 days.

    • Q. What should I do if I have been notified that I am a contact case?
    R. If you have been vaccinated: you must do an antigenic or PCR test immediately, then do a self-test at D+2 and D+4. As these tests are negative, you can attend your classes in person.

    If you are not vaccinated: you must test yourself, isolate yourself for 7 days and follow your courses in distance learning, then repeat an antigenic or PCR test at the end of the isolation. You must of course inform your school of your situation.
